Shop Small With Us, it's our second artist market!
There’s something extra special about supporting local artists during the holiday season — and at Café Ma Bicyclette, we’re thrilled to host our second Mini Marché on December 6, from 11h to 16h.
Our very first artist market happened back in September during the Parc Madeleine-Parent ceramics festival, when four talented artists filled our terrace with colour, character and community spirit: Rainy Day Renegade, Sarah Penina, 6s and 7s, and Jaclyn Turner. It was joyful, bright, and full of neighbourly magic.
Now, heading into the holidays, it feels like the perfect moment to gather again, shop small, support independent creators, and discover gifts with heart.
Here’s a little preview of who’s joining us!
Rainy Day Renegade Shop
Dark humour, hand-drawn stickers, strange little treasures and delightfully chaotic creations – Val’s work is instantly recognizable. Her designs tap into mental-health memes, pop-culture puns, and the seriously black comedy that defines Rainy Day Renegade.
If these illustrations look familiar, it’s because Val is also the brain behind our café stickers and mugs, and one of our talented baristas. Expect stickers, crafts, novelties and small gifts that bring a smirk (or full cackle).
Sarah Penina
Artist, illustrator and another of our very own baristas, Sarah’s works ranges from children’s books to marketing commissions to the expressive, emotional pieces she makes to be enjoyed. Her style is vibrant, tender, detailed and deeply human.
You’ve probably already seen her handiwork around the café — she illustrated our tote bags, our thermal mugs, and even the menus.
Her prints and original canvases make beautiful, heartfelt gifts for anyone who loves art that feels personal and alive.
6s and 7s / Jeff Moss
Jeff’s table is where things get, uh, interesting! Handmade wooden pieces inspired by classic tattoo imagery, original paintings, prints, stickers and mixed-media experiments created with whatever found materials spark his imagination.
His work has grit, humour, energy and a little bit of glorious weirdness.
If you’re into art that leans unconventional, unexpected or joyfully strange, you're with your people.
And more to be announced!
See You on December 6
Whether you’re picking up a few holiday gifts, supporting local artists, or just stopping by to browse, we’d love to see you. These creators are part of the quirky, colourful, heartfelt community that makes this cafe community so special.
Join us on Friday, December 6, from 11h to 16h — and while you’re here, try something from our new festive drink menu, made especially for the season.
Warm drinks, local art, and a Friday by the canal. Perfection.
